The Benicia Middle School Cheer Team is an inclusive, walk-on program built on fun, teamwork, and school spirit. As we head into our second year, we are proud of the strong foundation we’ve created and excited to continue growing our program.
Our dedicated coaching staff is deeply committed to these athletes, giving their time, energy, and heart to create a positive and supportive environment where every student feels valued. We welcome all skill levels and focus on helping athletes learn new skills, build confidence, and develop a genuine love for cheerleading.
At BMS Cheer, it’s about more than just cheering—it’s about creating a place where students can grow, connect, and truly belong.
Meet Our Coaches
Coach Chelsea
Coach Chelsea is a former collegiate cheerleader and being able to return to the sport alongside her two daughters over the past few years has been incredibly meaningful to her. Through eight years of year-round training, countless practices, and attending three collegiate national championships together, her love of cheerleading has only grown stronger. Creating this program has been one of the things she is most proud of. Sharing her passion for the sport while encouraging and helping these young athletes grow is something she will cherish forever.
Coach Kendra
Coach Kendra brings over 6 years of cheer and stunt experience, including competing at Cheer Nationals. As a proud boy mom, she loves coaching cheer as a her fun way to get her ‘girl fix’ while helping our athletes build confidence, skills, and team spirit. PS you’ll always see her coaching with a Diet Coke in her hand.
Coach Angie
Coach Angie was on a competitive cheer team when she was younger, and her love for the sport has never faded. She’s a natural encourager, she’s loud, and she loves the sense of community and sisterhood a cheer team brings. She believes done with the right heart, it can be something truly beautiful for these girls and a time they will always cherish.
Our program is powered by the generosity of our families. While the listed fees are suggested donations, these contributions are vital to covering our operational costs, equipment, and staffing. No child will ever be turned away due to financial constraints, however, we rely on those who are able to give to help keep our doors open for everyone.
